Love in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction, my first book, is out now ! Available from especially good book stores (eg Parsons, Unity) or buy online from Titus.

I've been reading: Karlo Mila's Dream Fish Floating: an excellent collection of poetry which showcases her huge depth and range. 'Eating Dark Chocolate and Watching Paul Holmes' Apology' alone makes this book worth the cover price.

The Titus book launch at Rakinos was an enjoyable evening with speeches by Alistair Patterson and Jack Ross, and readings from Stephen, Richard Anderton & Peter Scott (who performed for William Direen), and me. It was great to have so many poets and poetry lovers in one place, not to mention friends and whanau!

I am pleased to be invited to read at the Third Wellington International Poetry Festival which is on in November from the 3 - 6. Lots of fantastic international poets will be reading there, so it will be a great chance to hear some exciting work. Not to be missed.

Love in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction, the first collection of my poems, is published by Titus Books and will be launched on Monday 17 October at 6 pm, Rakinos (high st).

The book includes several long poems that we performed live, such as Exciting Poses (which got its name from a sign outside a Krd strip club, since painted over) and ranges from older work to fairly new poems. (the book's homepage is HERE).

I've been reading: Jill Chan has a new book out, Telling Them Apart, which is free to download (just click on the title)!

Leaving Las Grafton. This month, I'm finally moving out of that suburb of a thousand poems. It's going to be strange - no Grafton Bridge every morning, no shopkeepers who all know my name (and want me to get pregnant), no Outhwaite park...

Watch this space for details on the launch of Love in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction from Titus Books.

Now back from Eastern Europe, and I promise to settle down for a while! In the works: a longer poem, starring monkey-faced dogs and birds with their mouths open in the heat... Look out for me in: Magazine Issue 3 edited by Raewyn Alexander which will be out before too long.

I've been reading: Curriculum Vitae, Olwyn Stewart's great new novella, from Titus. Other novellas in their series include William Direen's Coma and Jack Ross' spooky Trouble in Mind. Well worth a look.
